Quick guide

Using Poker Trainer Drills

Start from the lobby

Choose a drill when you want reps, or open Range Viewer and Odds Calculator when you want to study a spot without a timed decision.

Use focused practice

For preflop work, pick Cash or MTT, table size, stack depth, action, Hero position, and Villain position. Use Any when you want mixed recall.

Answer once

Submit the decision shown on screen. Correct answers move quickly; wrong answers pause so the mistake becomes study material instead of a throwaway miss.

Review the reason

After a miss, open the range, equity explanation, winning five cards, hand category, or pot-odds formula depending on the drill.

Use progress rows

Preflop progress can point you toward exact action and position combinations that need more reps, then start that configuration directly.

Keep practice private

Progress runs locally on your device. Optional iCloud save/load is available only if you choose to use it.

Practice and reference screens

These screens show the main flow: choose a drill, make a decision, review the spot, and use reference tools when you want more detail.

Drill guide

What each mode is for

Poker Trainer Drills covers multiple study jobs. Use the drill that matches the skill you want to make automatic.

Preflop

Train Fold, Call, and Raise decisions by position, action, stack depth, table size, and range collection.

Postflop

Practice whether Hero is ahead of Villain's range on flop, turn, or river, then review the equity breakdown after a miss.

Hand Ranking

Build fast recognition of high card, pair, two pair, trips, straight, flush, full house, quads, and straight flush.

Best Hand

Compare multiple seats on one board and learn which exact five cards win at showdown.

Odds

Practice break-even percentages from call amounts and pot sizes until the math feels familiar.

Tools

Use Range Viewer for preflop charts and Odds Calculator for hand-vs-hand or hand-vs-range equity study.

Troubleshooting

Things to try first

A preflop answer surprised me

Check the selected solution, table size, stack depth, action, and positions. The same hand can change from raise to call or fold depending on the context.

Postflop equity feels counterintuitive

Open the explanation after a miss. Top pair, draws, blockers, and board texture can shift equity against a full range.

Progress is not on another device

Progress stays local unless you intentionally use optional iCloud save/load through your Apple account. Check iCloud availability and make sure you saved from the original device first.

I want a fresh start

Use Settings to clear progress if you want to reset drill history, accuracy, streaks, and achievements.
